SIECHA
HIKE UP THE ANDEAN HIGHS
Astounding landscapes of the Andean Lakes
The Siecha lagoon complex is a breathtaking scenery located in the moorlands of Chingaza Natural National Park, at 3.500 meters above the sea level. These lagoons are rumored to be the actual location where the tributes of El Dorado legend took place.
After a brief and panoramic ride through the outskirts of Bogotá and an easy trek through the high Andean mountains, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the typical moorland flora: highland bamboo, frailejones, moorland coffee, mosses and a wide variety of lichens. With a great deal of luck, and if the conditions are right, you may even get to see Andean condors, blackbirds, and eastern meadowlarks, as well as white-tailed deers and spectacled bears.
